Aaron Scharenberg, LCPC
About Aaron
Aaron has spent more than 25 years helping people navigate some of life’s hardest emotional terrain. Drawn early to understanding how people grow and heal, he studied psychology at the University of Kansas and later earned his master’s in counseling from Denver Seminary, shaping the thoughtful, faith‑informed and trauma- informed approach he uses today.
Since beginning his counseling career in 1997, Aaron has worked with individuals, couples, teens, and families, always with a calm, steady presence that helps people feel safe enough to be honest. He’s especially passionate about couples work, completing advanced Gottman Method training to give partners practical tools for rebuilding trust and connection. His EMDR training allows him to support clients working through trauma and anxiety with clarity and compassion.
Through his Wellspring Counseling location in Andover, Kansas, Aaron offers a grounded, relational style of therapy that reflects his belief in resilience and the possibility of change. Whether he’s helping someone process grief, navigate a life transition, or strengthen a relationship, Aaron brings patience, insight, and a genuine commitment to helping people. He is committed to respecting the values of each person and to give the client a safe place in which to seek growth.
