Insurance and Fees

Wellspring Counseling is pleased to accept a range of insurance plans to support our clients.  Please note that Employer Assistance Programs (EAP) are not accepted at this time.  It is important to be aware that couples and family therapy counseling might not be covered unless there is an individual diagnosis included in the treatment plan.

As a courtesy, we will submit primary insurance claims to your provider on your behalf. We kindly request that you provide accurate insurance information prior to billing and inform us promptly of any changes to your plan. If inaccurate information results in claim denials, the client will be responsible for any outstanding balances. Copays or deductibles are due at the beginning of each session, and we recommend contacting the number on the back your insurance card to verify your benefits before your appointment.

Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits

To receive reimbursement, you simply pay for your session upfront, obtain a specialized receipt called a superbill from me, submit that claim via your insurance company's portal or app, and then receive a reimbursement check directly from your insurer for a portion of the cost. After meeting your out-of-network deductible, you can typically expect your insurance to reimburse a significant percentage of the cost—often 50% to 80%—based on the "allowable amount".
